Due to the varying absorption rates of different surfaces, including gypsum and cement, the primer should be mixed at a ratio of 1:1 to 1:4 for mortar preparation. Under standard conditions, 1 liter of the Cemfix primer is needed to cover 5 square meters.
Surface preparation steps must be done according to ISO 8501-1 standards (for concrete surfaces, concrete waterproofing, and repairing concrete cracks). The work surface must be clean, free of any grease, dust, cracks, or any form of contamination. If the surface has physical damage, it must be patched, and after completing this step, sanding should be done to create a smooth, polished surface. Then, apply the primer using a brush, roller, or spray gun onto the desired surface. The drying time of the primer depends on weather conditions, taking around 2 to 3 hours. For use in humid areas, it is recommended to apply two layers of primer.

The building primer is available in 1-liter, 5-liter, 20-kilogram, and custom sizes.
Storage Duration and Temperature: The primer can be stored for up to 6 months in a dry environment and unopened packaging at temperatures between 5°C to 40°C.
Storage Conditions: Keep away from moisture, humidity, and direct sunlight.
The building primer does not contain hazardous chemicals that are harmful to the health of workers or the environment. However, it is important to use safety equipment such as masks, gloves, and goggles when working with any chemicals. It should never be ingested or come into contact with the eyes. In case of accidental contact with skin or eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of fresh water. If ingested, seek medical attention immediately.
Building primers are a group of products based on various types of bitumen, resins, additives, and solvents that are applied as a liquid layer using a brush, roller, or spray. They serve as a protective coating against moisture and rust on concrete surfaces, steel frameworks, ACC blocks, metal pipes, wood, ceramic, and stone before applying paints and other coatings. These primers are also used as an underlayer for pre-fabricated waterproofing membranes to enhance adhesion. By applying just one layer, the primer increases the adhesion to the substrate and reduces water absorption by covering its capillaries. On surfaces with high water absorption (such as gypsum walls), the use of a primer is mandatory. Surfaces with high water absorption draw the water from the adhesive or waterproofing material, making it brittle and weak. A primer layer prevents this water loss and allows the adhesive or waterproofing material to reach its final strength.
