Product Application Method

Consumption

The amount of adhesive required depends on the condition of the substrate (porosity and unevenness of the surface) and the tile grooves. On average, the consumption is approximately 2.5 to 4 kg per square meter.

Application Method

The surface to be applied must be firm, clean, dry, and free from dust and loose particles. Any loose paint or coating should be removed before applying the adhesive. This adhesive can be used for leveling, smoothing, and correcting minor surface imperfections up to a thickness of 5 mm. It is necessary to allow adequate drying time (at least 48 hours) before proceeding.

  • Mix the powder with 3.5 liters of clean, non-mineralized water until a smooth, paste-like consistency is achieved. Once mixed, allow the mixture to rest for 5 minutes to thicken. Use a notched trowel and the double bonding method to spread the mixture evenly on the surface and the back of the tile.

  • Use uniform tapping or slab shifting to remove any remaining air between the surface and the slab.

  • After 48 hours of installation, you can proceed with grouting. During this period, avoid applying pressure to the installed material.

  • If installing over old tiles, at least two-thirds of the old tile’s glaze must be scratched before installation.

  • If installing on gypsum surfaces or light blocks, ensure the surface is properly prepared, and a primer is applied before installation.

Technical and Execution Recommendations

  • Before starting, use a screed and level to mark the surface’s unevenness and level it with a primer, bonding agent, and cementitious plaster.

  • Perform the tiling after 4 days of smoothing the surface.

  • A notched trowel can help control the amount and thickness of adhesive needed for the tile installation.

  • The adhesive must have the proper consistency for tile installation.

  • The consistency should be such that the adhesive adheres to the tile immediately and does not easily separate.

  • In standard temperature and humidity conditions, the maximum working time is 20 minutes.

  • When using tiles with low absorption or larger sizes, the installation time may increase.

  • When tiling on a large surface, it’s essential to proceed with the installation in stages, allowing enough time between steps so that the lower part of the tile adhesive is partially dry, which helps in supporting the weight of new heavy tiles.

  • It is not recommended to use this adhesive in temperatures below 5°C.

  • The ideal temperature for drying the adhesive is above 15°C.

  • If the surface layer of the adhesive has dried, reapply the trowel before installing the tile.

  • It is necessary to apply pressure in a twisting motion to the tile after installation to ensure that the adhesive completely transfers to the back of the tile.

  • Grouting should be done one day after the adhesive has set.
