Product Application Method

Consumption Rate

The consumption rate of powder tile adhesive depends on the condition of the substrate (porosity and surface irregularities) and the grooves of the tiles. However, the average usage is about 2.5 to 4 kg per square meter.

Application Method

The surface should be firm, clean, dry, and free of dust and loose particles. Any loose paint or coatings should be removed before applying the adhesive. This adhesive can be used to level, align, and correct minor imperfections on the substrate up to a thickness of 5 millimeters, with sufficient drying time (at least 48 hours) required.

  • Mix the powder with 3.5 liters of clean, non-salty water to form a paste-like consistency. After mixing, wait for 5 minutes to allow the mortar to thicken. Use a notched trowel and apply the paste to the surface and the back of the tile using the double bonding method.
  • Use uniform taps or shift the slab to remove any remaining air between the surface and the slab.
  • After 48 hours of installation, you can begin grouting. During this time, avoid applying pressure to the installed material.
  • When installing over old tiles, at least two-thirds of the old tile’s glaze should be scratched off before proceeding with the installation.
  • When installing on gypsum surfaces or lightweight blocks, the substrate must be primed before installation.

Technical and Installation Recommendations

  • Before applying, use a screed and level to determine the surface irregularities, and level with primer, bonding adhesive, and cement mortar.
  • Tile installation should be done 4 days after smoothing.
  • A notched trowel can be used to control the required amount and thickness of adhesive for tile installation.
  • This type of adhesive should have the right consistency for tile installation.
  • The consistency should be such that the adhesive sticks to the tile instantly and doesn’t detach easily.
  • In normal temperature and humidity conditions, the maximum working time is 20 minutes.
  • For tiles with low absorption or large dimensions, the installation time will be longer.
  • When tiling on a tall surface, the installation should be done in stages with appropriate intervals, allowing the bottom layer to dry and bear the weight of the new heavy tiles.
  • The use of this adhesive is not recommended at temperatures below 5°C.
  • The best temperature for drying this adhesive is above 15°C.
  • If the surface layer of the adhesive has dried, re-apply the trowel before installing the tile.
  • Applying pressure in a twisting motion on the tile after installation is essential to ensure full transfer of the adhesive to the back of the tile.
  • Grouting should be done one day after the adhesive has set.

Additional Information

In the past, the traditional method of installing tiles and ceramics involved the use of lime, gypsum, and cement. However, with advancements in construction materials, modern adhesives have been developed that combine inorganic cements, graded silica sand, and dispersion polymers to provide better and more cost-effective bonding for tiles and ceramics. The Wall Tile Adhesive (C-100) contains Portland cement along with polymer additives, bonding enhancers, mineral fillers, and fibers, and is designed for installing various types of tiles, ceramics, and stones both inside and outside buildings. This product is completely waterproof and also has excellent adhesion, and once dried and set, it will not dissolve in water. Additionally, it possesses water-repellent properties. This product is a single-component adhesive, designed for bonding various types of stones, ceramics, and slabs.

This product meets EN 12004-TYPE C1S1 standards.
